Newsletter 5th May 2017
Advance warning 1st and 4th September 2017 teacher training days.
Thank you for all of your support on Red Nose Day the school raised £180 which has been donated to the charity.
We are really pleased to inform you that the school will be getting a new hall floor. After successfully being awarded a community grant by the Co-op. On behalf of the school I would like to thank the staff at the Co-op for their support when applying for this. In particular one of our parents here Miss Knight for her help completing the application. This is booked to be installed over the summer holidays.
Also over the summer holidays we will hopefully be getting a new multimedia projector and sound system for the school hall. This has been kindly contributed by PACT. Thank you all.
As you are aware from previous communication we will be saying Goodbye to Mrs Pearce at the end of next week. Her last day with Hall Meadow will be on Friday 12th May. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Pearce for her hard work and commitment to the school and wish her all the best for the future.
As an interim arrangement Mrs Powell and Mrs Watts will be picking up some of Mrs Pearce’s workload.
I have received several requests from local residents to remind parents and carers to consider parking near the school. I have spoken to some residents who inform me that they have been blocked in or that their driveways are blocked.
As the weather gets warmer can I remind you to send your child into school with an appropriate hat, this could be a plain non logoed hat or the school hat. Please apply sun cream before your child comes into school. If you chose to send additional cream into school this will need to be applied by the child themselves and will need to be in a named container.
Please can I remind parents and carers to ring the school office if your child is unwell. This can be done at any time and a message left on the school answer machine.
