In Literacy this week, we have been talking about newspaper reports and we have made our own! We have written about a mysterious creature that we have design that has just been discovered.

“I enjoyed creating my animal and facts about it” said Emily.

“I enjoyed making my animal newspaper report” exclaimed Owen.

“I enjoyed making my animal and writing my newspaper report about the mammal” exclaimed Benet.

In Maths, we have been looking at measurements of capacity and different types of lines (parallel, perpendicular and perimeter). We made different strips of paper for each type of line and we then a line hunt around the whole school to see if we could find them. We all really enjoyed it! With capacity, on Wednesday we went into the courtyard and estimated amounts of water that would fit in different types of containers, which we then tested.

“I enjoyed when we were trying to measuring water as it was fun. I also find it challenging which I enjoyed” exclaimed William.

In Inquiry, we have been continuing with our fantastic projects on animals. We used different types of paint today to showcase our animals.

“I enjoyed painting bears because I found it fun and I used different colours” said Amy L.

“I enjoyed doing the art inquiry and I had fun mixing the colours together to paint a polar bear and an igloo” said Evie K.
