Main Priorities for improvement this year

Key priorities- Maths, more able, EAL progress and closing gaps for Pupil Premium children.


1.     Trust Objectives:

To embed early language skills ensuring that phonics outcomes and KS1 reading for all groups, are at least in line with national expectations.


2.     Trust Objectives:

To foster a love of reading at KS2 that builds on prior phonic knowledge, to develop fluency and comprehension skills to ensure that KS2 reading outcomes, for all groups, are at least in line with national expectations.


3.     Trust Objectives:

To ensure that a very clear maths pedagogy is shared and followed throughout the school, which develops learning in number, fluency, reasoning and problem solving; leading to outcomes in maths, that are at least in line with national expectations.

4.     Trust Objectives:

To ensure that each teacher is enabling every child to make good progress, by knowing the gaps in leaning, and, through effective planning, successfully closing these as quickly as possible. The gap between pupil premium and non-pupils premium pupils will be significantly narrowed.

5.     To ensure staff are planning to accelerate the progress for the children in order to increase the number achieving greater depth at the end of each year.

6.     To develop consistent monitoring of marking and feedback in order to maintain consistency across the school and in turn accelerate progress of each individual child.

7.     To ensure that staff are equip in supporting  the progress of all vulnerable learners, including EAL pupils,  across the school, in order for them to make at least good progress by the end of the year.

We are a fully inclusive school, children are always at the centre of everything we do. The curriculum is innovative and provides maximum opportunities for intellectual, social and emotional development. The children study the National Curriculum through themes such as 'Keen to be Green'.
