This week has been short but busy in Apollo Class!

We made our Healthy Snacks on Wednesday and filmed ourselves making them to create a video of our recipe! There were some very interesting combinations of food!
It helped us to think carefully about the language we use when we speak and when we write and how we can improve the instructions we write for someone else to follow.
After we had sampled our snacks, we were lucky enough to experience what training is like for the England Team “The lionesses” as we had some football skills coaching. We learnt lots of tricks and skills for how to defend and attack during a game of football. The snacks we made helped to give us sustained energy for the hour long session and made us think about how important it is to eat the right kinds of foods to give our body the best type of nutrition.

For Guided Reading over the next few weeks, we will be thinking about comprehensions and the style of questions. We may send home the comprehensions we have been working on, but this may mean that your child may not be given a guided text . The children should still try to read a variety of texts of their choice at home however, to give them access to a range of reading material.
