This week we have been looking at data in maths and learning how to show information in lots of different ways. We have collected data in the form of Tally Charts, which helped our counting in 5’s and then put the information into bar graphs.
We used what we had learnt about finding the difference and the total to calculate and answer questions about the data. Then we learnt how to put information into a Pictogram. Sometimes in a Pictogram, 1 picture represents a number more than 1, so we had to work out what half a picture was worth!

We have written our own stories based on the Isle of Struay this week and used this as an opportunity to include all the things we have learnt about writing. We learnt how to use dialogue in a story and show that someone is speaking by using speech marks.

We have been rehearsing our Nativity play “Children of the World,” and it is really starting to take shape. We just need to practise opening our mouths when we say our lines and remembering when we speak.

Thank you for all the costumes that have been sent in.
