This week we began the week by learning about the story of creation from Africa. There are many different versions of the story throughout the world which reflect the culture or faith of different places. The children sequenced the story in their own way and used drama and other creative actions to help them remember it. The writing the children produced was very impressive and most of them remembered to put capital letters for all the names of the characters!!

We had a really lovely visit from all the animals on Wednesday afternoon. Lynn helped to understand a bit more about natural habitats and we learnt lots of facts that we used to write about in our own chosen way.

Mr Blight popped in to join us and tell us all about how he used to own some Giant African Land Snails and Miss Bell our teacher for next year also joined us and was brave enough to handle some of the “critters.” Mrs Evans however, stayed safely behind the camera!!

Thank you so much for all the equipment for our Bug Houses. We are really looking forward to starting these next week.

As the weather has now improved can you remember to bring or apply sun cream before school and bring plain sun hats if possible.

A big thank you for all the donations for the hamper – can we keep going??
