This week has been all about tropical fruit! We have really enjoyed looking at all the fruits which were kindly sent in and have loved tasting the smoothies. It really helped us to understand how to improve our instruction writing and use better description.

In maths, we have been using what we learnt about division, to help us learn about multiplication. We have used resources, arrays, and number lines to count in “lots of.”

Our Science work on materials continues and this week we have been looking at materials which are manmade and natural. We learnt about the word “Chemically Processed.”

In PHSE, we have been looking at Dreams and Goals as a whole school. We have designed a collaborative “Garden of Dreams” and each class has been working on adding our own part to the garden which explains our goals and dreams.

In RE, we continue to learn about Christianity and this week have looked at the Ten Commandments. We discussed our thoughts about rules and had a go at making decisions about what rules we think should be followed in order to be good people of the world.

A huge thank you for all your kind smoothie donations this week.

How you can help!

Telling the time is tricky!! We will be recapping on O'Clock and half past and also looking at quarter past.

we will be using what we know about how many seconds there are in a minute and how many minutes in an hour to solve simple word problems. Anything you can do to reinforce this at home will be helpful.

Talk about any plants we eat and which part of the plant we eat. Is it the leaf, the bulb, the stem or the flowers?
practise 2, 5 and 10 times table facts and corresponding divisions
