Well done to those who have completed the Level 1 and Level 2 Bikeability training this week. They braved all weathers to complete the course. Ensure that you show your adults what you have learnt and continue to develop your bike road safety skills with an adult.

In Ares this week for English, we have continued to learn about the language techniques within poems. We have been learning about metaphors which create an image in the readers mind. After we were confident on them, we practised using metaphors and smiles to describe an image. Then we worked in groups to write a poem using a range of language techniques.

In Maths this week we have been learning to solve problems, some were tricky. One of them was about dinosaurs needing to total a certain number with decimals. We need to use our addition, subtraction and multiplication skills to solve the problem. Next week we will be continuing to learn different methods of division.

We watched a video called the ‘Black Hole’. It was about a man who discovered a hole on a piece of paper which allowed him to go through objects. He used this power to steal items.   We thought of some questions and we all decided on one of them. The question we discussed was:  “ What did the man achieve and was it worth it?”
