This week we have been super busy! It was our first week learning to play the brass instruments. The Brass project is 10 weeks long and allows every child to learn to play an instrument, read music and perform in a show at the end of the project. This week the focus was on using our ‘buzz’ to make sounds within the instruments. Next week we will be learning how to use the valves and buzz pitch to change the note.

Within English, we are learning about newspaper reports. This week we have worked hard on identifying the key features and evaluating their impact. Next week we will be writing our own version.

This week we have continued to learn about Shapes. We have learnt about the different angles and how to measure them using a protector.  Next week we will continuing to learn about angles.

Within History we learnt about Windrush. We examined different images of London and Jamaica to compare the differences of the environment then heard from people who came to live and work in the UK. Then we wrote a letter from someone who had moved to UK.
