This week we have been writing a newspaper article about an animal that has been discovered. We used the key features to write an effective report that would hook the reader into finding out about the strange new creatures.

In Mathematics, we have continued to learn about angles. This week the focus was on finding the missing angles from shapes. We learnt about interior and exterior angles. On Friday we solved a problem using a protractor. Next week we will be learning about the lines of symmetry within shapes.

The Science focus this week was the properties of materials. On our table was a box of different materials, we conducted an experiment to find the different properties of them. Once we had finished, we explored why different materials are better for different purposes based on their properties.

Within RE we were learning about the similarities and differences between the Islamic creation story and the Judeo- Christian creation story. We noticed that the world was created in days.

This week in the exciting brass project we learnt two different notes to play on our instruments- C and D. Can you hear the difference if I play them?
