This week in Ares we have been planning\writing up our portal stories using any portals you can imagine some good portals that we used were... a window, washing machine, a door, a cave, a book. We have enjoyed this topic and would love to learn lots more and enjoyed publishing it!

This week in maths we have been learning about lots of different measurements. Here are some examples e.g. km m cm mm and kg g L pounds pints. We found the work a bit challenging and fun. We have enjoying this topic and hope we do it again!

We have been learning about King John and King Richard and how they changed England. We have also been design our show helmets and making them for the Summer show. There have been lots of interesting designs and some of us have finished ours. We have been working very hard on our show helmets and our busy brains have been working hard!

Portal stories:

A portal story is where you write a story and the main character goes through a portal and ends up somewhere really exiting then comes back through the portal!

The children are also given weekly spellings to learn, which are tested on a Friday. The mental maths test focusing on times tables will be twice a week.
