All the children in Athena have worked really hard this week. In English, we have continued to look at different fables and we have been thinking about what evidence there is within a text to help us to understand different types of characters. In maths, we have been counting up and back on the number line to help us solve subtraction problems. We have also been using this knowledge to help us answer worded subtraction questions.

In science, we are continuing with our topic on digestion and we are focusing on the first part of this process, which involves looking at our teeth and exploring the function of each type of tooth.

In art, we have decorated our papyrus paper by writing our names in Egyptian hieroglyphics. This work has been displayed in our classroom and around the school so that everyone can enjoy our art. We have also preparing a piece of artwork for Harvest Festival, and this has involved making different types of fruit and vegetables out of salt dough. We have also been knitting squares that will eventually represent a patchwork of fields.

Finally, in history, we have learning all about Tutankhamen and the mysterious curse that has been associated with this particular pharaoh.
