We have worked very hard in Athena this week and are definitely ready for the half term break. In French, we learnt how to greet each other in French and we also learnt a French rhyme. In music, we worked collaboratively in small groups to produce a sound. We then combined these sounds to create a musical canon. We really enjoyed doing this and the end result was fantastic!

In maths, we are continuing to solve mathematical word problems. We have also focused on developing our subtraction and multiplication skills.

In English, we finished writing our retelling of a fable, and we have moved onto describing an image. We swapped our story with a partner and they have helped us to edit and improve our work.

Finally, on Thursday, we were very pleased to welcome the mums, dads, carers, brothers and sisters of year four children to our classroom. We really enjoyed reading our favourite books to them and showing our guests some of the work that we have done.

Mrs Sanderson wants to wish everyone a lovely half term break and she looks forward to seeing all the children on the 30th October.
