We have had a lovely week in Athena. On Monday, we unpacked our mummified tomatoes and we were amazed by how different they were to the fresh tomatoes that we examined back in September. Our mummified tomatoes had changed colour, were shrunken and wrinkled and remarkably dry; a fact, which surprised us.

On Tuesday, we spent all day baking our muffins. The children were very patient whilst waiting to make their muffins and the adults in the class were extremely impressed with their fabulous behaviour. In the afternoon, the children evaluated their muffins by eating them. Most of the children really enjoyed their muffins and those who didn’t had great ideas about how to improve them for next time.

Throughout the week, we have had several craft sessions and, on Friday, we made an origami Father Christmas. Although this was a challenging task, we were all very pleased with the end result.
