We have had another very busy week in Athena!

In maths, we have been continuing our work on fractions and decimals. We have been working out the fraction of a number and we have been using this knowledge to help us solve worded problems.

In English, we have started to look at the different features of newspaper reports and what literary devices we could use to make our writing more interesting. We have just begun to write our first newspaper article, which will report all the activities that took place during Hall Meadow’s ‘Under the sea’ week.

In science, we have started to learn about the three different states of matter and, in history and D.T.; we have started our topic on World War Two.

The children have worked really hard this week and the work they have produced has been fantastic. Well done.

On a sad note, it is Mr Forsyth’s last week at Hall Meadow and Athena class would like to thank him for all his hard work. We will miss having him in the class and we send him our best wishes.
