We have had another super week in Athena.

Throughout the week, we have been delving into our class text, Wolves in the Walls. From the cover and the title of the book, we predicted that it might be a scary story but, actually, it made us all laugh.

In maths, we have moved onto the topic of measurement and we are focusing on telling the time. Any opportunities to practise telling the time with your child at home would be greatly appreciated.

In R.E., we have been examining our spirituality and the children have drawn images to show their understanding of rich and poor, equality and changing the world. The thought and work that the children have put into these pieces of artwork has been fantastic and Mrs Sanderson is really impressed. Well done!

In science, we planned to undertake a bug hunt of invertebrate organisms but, unfortunately, the weather was against us and we had to postpone the activity.

However, we plan to try again when the weather is a bit warmer and drier.
