We have worked very hard in Athena class this week!

In English, we have begun researching and planning a non-chronological report on an urban animal of our choice. The children have already written some fabulous introductions, which they have shared with their classmates. Next week, we are aiming to draft, edit and publish our reports before allowing our friends to read them.

In maths, we have just moved onto converting metres into centimetres and centimetres into millimetres. This topic area is allowing us to practise our skills of dividing and multiplying numbers by 10 and 100.

In guided reading, we have worked at improving our inference skills. We have looked at a range of pictures and have practised supporting our answer to a question by selecting and using evidence from the image.

Finally, we have spent some of our time in the afternoon practising our dance and learning songs for the summer show. The children have all worked extremely hard and are singing beautifully and performing their dance with enthusiasm and energy. Mrs Sanderson is very proud of them.
