This week we have been looking at the amazing animals that live in the rainforests. We looked at the different layers of the rainforest and considered what features an animal would need to have to live in each one.

This linked well with our science as we were sorting animals into groups using different criteria and Venn diagrams or Carroll diagrams to display our results. We learnt some fascinating facts about which animals lay eggs and which give birth to live young. Do you know which mammals lay eggs?

In mathematics, we were learning about area and used the strategy of counting the squares that were covered to find the area.

Our PE this term will focus on striking and fielding games and we began the unit by playing boccia. Boccia is similar to bowls and is a game that is accessible to a wide range of people.
