We hope that you all enjoyed our Nativity performances?  The children have worked incredibly hard over the last term and we were so proud of them all during the rehearsals and the performances.  Thank you for the fantastic costumes and your support with this.

It was a very exciting week for us all with the snow on Sunday.  The children enjoyed telling us all about their adventures in the snow it sounds like you all had lots of fun.  We decided to use these adventures as a stimulus for our writing and wow what amazing writing the children produced.  They could either write a recount or a poem and the children were so independent with this and their writing was just brilliant.  Well done to you all.  We have also been writing about the Christmas story this week in our English and RE.  The children have a fantastic understanding of this and wrote in detail about the story.

The children have been working hard on their DT this week planning what they are going to be making next week.  The thought carefully about the resources to use and how they wanted their designs to look.  We look forward to making them next week and we hope you will like the finished product!

Phonics for this week: ea, ew, au (we have also been recapping all the sounds we have learnt this term).

What Demeter had to say about their week:

Maya – I enjoyed doing the nativity because I liked leading the three kings with the stay.

Eli – I loved doing writing about the snow this week.

Max – I liked writing about the snow because I liked the snow and had lots of fun in it.

Oliver – I liked doing my exit ticket in maths.

Fasial – I liked wearing my costume for the nativity.

Theo – I liked doing the exit ticket

Thank you for all your support this term, the children have made fantastic progress and have worked incredibly hard.  If you have any questions regarding their report which you will receive at the end of the week, then please come and see Mrs Powell or Miss Gilbert next week.  We hope that you have a lovely Christmas and enjoy spending time with your families celebrating.  We look forward to hearing about all your holiday adventures.

We look forward to you joining us for our Christmas assembly on Monday 18th December at 2:30pm.
