Our theme has continued this week with the children creating a story map relating to the lead text we have been using. We re-read the story and tried to spot the beginning, middle and endings. This will help them to focus and rewrite the story.

In maths we have continued with multiplication, looking at making equal groups and showing this in our recording. The children have also been introduced to repeated addition to support this.

Jigsaw Jack helped the children with ‘greetings’ and what is appropriate in various situations. They enjoyed watching the story ‘Hugs’.

Our assembly theme this week is ‘reflection’. They enjoyed watching ‘Dog’ tell them that it is important to learn from their mistakes and to think about ways to improve their learning and behaviour.

In P4C the children tried not to get their feet wet in our pretend lake as they explored the concept of ownership. Who owned the boat?

Show and tell has been a big hit with a starting letter. So this week will be all about the letter ‘a’ (chosen by Abby – can’t think why!).

Our sunflowers (some of them) will go home with their owners tomorrow. We have had to replant some so if your child doesn’t have one, don’t worry, we are hoping the others will start to show signs of growth next week.

We still have children without water bottles.
