Well, this is it, our final blog for the 2018-2019 school year. First of all a huge thank you for the lovely cards and gifts we have received. We are looking forward to see the children continue to flourish in Year 2.

Top tips: continue to read and ask your child questions to support their comprehension skills. Revisit the splat square to continue to secure their place value and speed at finding a given number, any opportunities for them to use money to pay for items and maybe look at change given. Have lots of fun!

Our photo is of our finished jelly fossil. We had great fun making this and seeing the layers develop each time. The children have really enjoyed exploring our dinosaur topic.

It was lovely to finish the week with seeing the children’s completed inquiry projects. There was such a vast range of subjects and some very inventive ways to present them. Thank you for your support in helping the children produce their presentations, and make some of the fantastic models we have seen.

All reading books have been taken in. If you do find any unreturned books please return them in September. We also have a few school library books outstanding.

All medication has been given back to parents and carers that we hold in our cupboard. It is your responsibility to make sure, if your child still needs it, that it is returned in the new school year.

We wish you a restful and relaxing summer break.
