The children in Iris Class have had another brilliant week and we are all very excited about next week. The morning children have experienced two PE sessions with Mr Palmer and also stayed for their lunch and the afternoon children have been out to play on the top playground with the Year 1 and 2 children.
We have been learning the sound that the letters 's, a, t' and 'p' make and trying to identify what it looks like in the written form. We have been learning the Jolly Phonics songs that go with each of the letter sounds. We have been counting objects and recognising numbers. We have been improving our scissor control and also how we use a spreader to spread glue on our paper.
Thank you to you all for bringing a donation to support the Jeans for Genes day and for all wearing your blue colours, jeans and denim. You all looked fab.
Today, Friday, the children have had a letter with a unique code on in order for parents to register on to the Interactive Learning Diary (ILD.) Once you have registered I will need to authorise your registration and then you will be able to see lots of lovely photos, pictures and sometimes videos of your wonderful children.
Miss Greener is back at University next week to continue her learning but we look forward to seeing her back in a few weeks. We look forward to seeing everyone altogether on Monday morning. The doors will open at 8.40am as usual and the children can be collected at 3.25pm.
