In Literacy we have been looking at non chronological reports and have begun looking at newspaper reports. We even has to use dedication skills to find key features, in order to find clues to solve a mystery.

“I have enjoyed using lots of description in my writing this week” Said Finn.

“I have enjoyed creating my non-chronological report” said Louis

“I have enjoyed learning about non-chronological report” said Josh

In Maths this week, we have looked at measurement and even solved problems based on grams and kilograms.

“I enjoyed learning about measurements this week” said Natasha.

In our Inquiry we have been super creative and have all worked hard at making our posters. We have done a brilliant job and are all feeling super proud.

“I enjoyed making my poster about parrots” said Kaaviyashree.

“I enjoyed finding facts about snakes and putting them in the book I am making” said Poppy.

Year 3 are given weekly homework that is set on a Wednesday and handed back in for marking on a Monday. This consists of an English activity and a Maths activity. The children are also given weekly spellings to learn which are tested on a Thursday. Throughout the year the type of work that they will be set will varying with each half term having a slightly different focus. MyMaths will be used at different points throughout the year as the set homework but is available all year round for extra practice.
