At the start of the week we started designing our pots in our sketch books in Art.

In science, we classified animals into 3 types of skeletons. Edward said "I now know that an exoskeleton has a skeleton on its outer body!"

Jessica says that she enjoyed making our place value cups which we have used throughout the week to support our place value learning and today we practised finding 10 or 100 more or less than a number.

We drafted our shape poems using all of the language and structural features. We all enjoyed sharing our drafts so far magpying ideas from each other. "My poem has a simile in it" said Emilia.

"Best class ever, so far!" Isaac stated.

RE: we looked at the social issues surrounding Mexico's earthquake through P4C. We had a fantastic class discussion which resulted in talking about how do pets feel if they lost their owners? Here is our report:

The third earthquake hits Mexico in three weeks!

People have been giving away clothes, bedding and pet food to help those affected by the earthquake in Mexico.

The 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck about 75 miles from Mexico City, the capital of the country, and one of the busiest cities in the world.

It was so strong it brought down dozens of buildings and caused a lot of damage.

Many still don't know if their home is safe to return to.
