Poseidon this week have had a 'natural' day. Measuring leaves, describing conkers and autumn pictures. They really enjoyed the animal and lentil sculptures - gluing different coloured lentils onto an image to create a colourful and textured piece of art.

In history we used our inquiry skills to work out what artefacts were - one object we looked at was a 'skin scraper'! YUK!

In French we learnt the colours rrrr rouge and bl bl bl bleu, and listened to rhymes.

On Wednesday we explored our school playground to locate and identify 3D objects, some of us found some random shaped objects amongst normal things - great imaginations! In literacy we analysed another myth 'A Wild Goose Chase' and answered comprehension questions about this - some fantastic, detailed responses - well done!
Thursday, we continued with our 3D shapes by using a Carroll diagram to sort these by looking at their properties. Some of us challenged ourselves by creating our own criteria's. 😊

In Science this week we have moved on to functions of a skeleton - looking at our skeleton more closely with how we move - our joints! We focused on three main joints we have and how they helped us. As a class we investigated some sports people and what joints they would use.

RE was a P4C session this week focusing on The Good Samaritan and linking this to friendship. Our class question to talk about was: Why did the two men, who were 'sons of God', betray one of their own by walking by? SUPER question and some great thoughts shared.

Friday we will be starting symmetry and writing up some of our own retelling of a myth using conjunctions and clauses.

Thank you for a fantastic and productive week Poseidon class!
