Poseidon have had a great second week!

We started off the week practising making circuits and made some colourful and glittery firework pictures - really effective and sparkly!

Tuesday we all went on our trip to West Lodge Rural centre and developed our independence and team - building skills making dens, working and playing together in new surroundings and eating marshmallows. The children were super and the staff at the farm were extremely impressed with their behaviour and corporative skills. Thank you again to those of you who helped on the trip and leading up to it. We were extremely lucky with the weather - some might say not as the mud slide wasn't as wet as could be.

We were all extremely tired the following day so we did some chilled out activities; began our draft visual diaries of our day at the farm, finished making parrots for our class display and then a spot of gymnastics in PE.

We have began looking at the grid method when solving multiplication problems and we will continue this further as most need a bit more practise but all have showed great perseverance. In literacy we have began to imitate and learn a persuasive text through talk for writing and most know half of the text already with support from their text maps that we created for this.

In science we created an investigation and practical experiment comparing the force of different surfaces - some of us showed super presentation skills with trying to write this out in their books without any support sheet - well done!

For remembrance we will be recreating some water colour paintings with some poppies on for a class display.

Thank you

Mrs Townend and Mrs Spencer
