Firstly, thank everyone that came to watch our class assembly but also a great thank you to Poseidon children who did a fantastic job in their assembly! Well done.

In Science this week we found out and discussed how fossils are made. We looked at the different layers of rock and sediment.

In literacy throughout the week we have been finalising and publishing our hot tasks; 'The Life of a Pebble' explanation text and; an adventure story (retelling of the Hodgeheg). Super writing from all.

At the start of the week our maths has been focused on telling the time - lots of practise using actual clocks.

Continuing with our fractions at the end of the week where we have been finding equivalent fractions using our multiplications.

On Thursday we started our new stimulus in literacy 'The Lost Thing'. We started with an exploratory discussion through P4C looking at an image from the book leading onto an Art/sketching lesson designing our own 'lost thing' from imaginary objects we collected from the classroom.

We will follow this up on Friday morning creating a 'Wanted Poster'.

In Geography we will be looking at the UK's highest land points (hills/mountains).

How you can help!

Please read as much as possible and discuss the vocabulary and story with your child. Learn your times tables and the division facts that correspond to them.
