At the start of the week in maths the children recapped on place value to help with solving grid method multiplication. In literacy we have been practising conjunctions; how and where to use them. Some fantastic sentences created by lots of children.

In science we investigated shadows and 'how do they change?'

On Wednesday the children spent the whole morning showing us their creative side by crafting and making their dream catchers. We have been practising lots of techniques prior to this very important day such as: threading, weaving and knotting. They got to take them home today and they are all so different and look amazing! Well done!

We have began planning and drafting for our hot task on writing a set of instructions for a dream catcher reminding ourselves of all of the structural and language features we need to make it super!

Tomorrow we will be editing and publishing in neat.

In maths, we have been turning shape in different angles/positions: quarter turn, half turn and whole turn and using actual irregular shapes to manipulate this turn and practising the use of the mathematical vocabulary.

Tomorrow we will be looking at angles within a shape (right angles).

Looking forward to DISCO tomorrow evening.

How you can help!

Please read as much as possible and discuss the vocabulary and story with your child. Learn your times tables and the division facts that correspond to them.
