To celebrate harvest festival this year, Poseidon class chose to discuss how different countries around the World celebrate this Autumn festival. We researched and created posters about different countries of the world and really enjoyed finding out the similarities and differences between these countries. Well done to the selected few who were selected to stand up in a very busy assembly!

In Jigsaw this week we discussed what a nightmare school would be like and we realised how lucky we are!

Science, looked at How muscles work by undertaking an investigation into ' Do people have stronger muscles because they use them often?'

In literacy at the start of the week we looked at the story of Rama and Sita. At the end of the week we planned, researched and began composing sentences for our non fiction reports. Soon to be drafted and written up!

In Maths we played top trumps by finding the difference between numbers and ended the week focusing on expanded addition; revisiting value of digits in numbers. Word problems tomorrow!

In Art we finished tea - staining our catouches for our bookmarks.

Music - we began to focus on our chosen God Anubis thinking of adjectives to describe him and began to create phrases for our celebration chant. The children enjoyed listening to Egypt rap by Mrs Townend (rhythm as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) :)

Just a quick reminder - if you haven't handed in your slip for next week's workshop, please do so and remember your outfits/costumes for it.

Thank you
Poseidon class
