At the start of the week, we have practiced our class assembly, which is on 13th May and look forward to seeing you there.

Using an image of an air raid from WW2 we brainstormed interesting vocabulary to describe this for our poetry.

In maths at the start of the week we practiced telling the time.

On Wednesday, we went outside to hunt and explore angles around the playground practicing mathematical vocabulary: right - angle, acute, obtuse, straight line and reflex angles.

In literacy we learnt how to write and correctly punctuate directed speech. We also used a WW2 image to use as a stimulus for our newspaper report practice. We looked at the image to find the 5Ws and write about these using short, snappy and interesting language. Included: Snappy headlines and some of us put a quote in using our previous learning of reported speech!

We practiced threading needles and tying knots at the end of the thread ready for our small DT project later on in the term.

Thank you
