At the start of the week we practised our summer show dance in the afternoon. In the morning in maths we used weighing scales to practise using and reading weight as a measurement. In literacy we looked at a picture from our class text and were able to add in dialogue; demonstrating the using speech effectively.

On Tuesday we got the opportunity to do some additional PE with Mr Palmer followed by Science (shadows) in the afternoon with Mrs Dickens in Mrs Spencer's absence.

On Wednesday we went back onto persuasive writing and began to look at exaggeration, powerful adjectives and alliteration in sentences for products/adverts. We took simple sentences and used these devices to up - level - some very creative and exaggerated sentences!
In maths we completed word problems practising column subtraction, some of us completed 2 step word problems which were very tricky!

On Thursday, we took subordinate conjunctions to create subordinate clauses at the start of sentences: If, Unless.... to further develop persuasion.
In maths we completed a problem - solving / investigation task called Super Shapes involving addition and subtraction to work out which numbers go with the shapes to equal an amount - simple algebra.
In the afternoon we started our RE topic on Pray. We listened to lots of popular pop music like: Titanium and Impossible and looked at the lyrics then discussed how they were expressing and creating emotion to convey a message.
After this we began our Jigsaw (PSHE) this term about 'changes' we looked at baby animals and adults and compared what changes may have been made.

We ended the day practising our summer show songs.

Friday, using talk for writing to re-create a persuasive advert for us to rehearse and learn. Beginning to look at multiplication and division.
