At Hall Meadow Primary School, we want to provide a valuable educational, social and cultural experience for the pupils and we are keen to promote the introduction of a Modern Foreign Language to all pupils of primary age.

We want our children to enjoy and be engaged in French, in both speaking and listening.

With the basic skills learnt over a progressive time period from year 3 to 6, we want our children to be able to feel comfortable and confident in communicating their ideas and thoughts with others through speech and writing. We intend to inspire children with; the love of learning a new language but, also to broaden their experiences with other countries, cultures and people.

Through our chosen scheme, Rising Stars, children will develop their natural curiosity and positive mindset about learning new things as well as giving children the foundation for further language studies from Primary to Secondary School.
